HEYWOOD’S senior team get their 2022 Greater Manchester League season under way on April 23.

They face a trip to Oldham-area side Glodwick in the opening game of their Premier Division 2 campaign. And that could be a tough start, with Glodwick being relegated from the Premier League in 2021.

The first senior game of the campaign at Crimble sees another Oldham-area club, Shaw, providing the opposition after their promotion from the Championship.

The season runs through until September 17 when Heywood make the journey to Glossop.

The 2^nd X1 start their season at home to Ashton Ladysmith CC in Division Three East on April 23, and close on September 17 at home to the Glossop second string.

The only pre-season friendly arranged to date is a first team outing at on Saturday, April 9, when Church CC from the Lancashire League are the visitors to Crimble.

But Heywood are in the process of hopefully arranging other pre-season dates for both their first and second teams, and these will be posted on this site as soon as they are confirmed.
