Welcome to the official website of Heywood Cricket Club.

Founded in 1865, we were founder members of the Central Lancashire League and play our cricket at one of the finest grounds in Lancashire, Crimble, inside Queen’s Park. Following significant changes in local league cricket in 2016 we are founder members of the Greater Manchester Cricket League.

We operate four senior cricket teams – 1st XI, 2nd XI, 3rd XI and 4th X1 –  as well as junior teams at under-9s, under-11s, under-13s, under-15s and under-18s. We are also an All Stars Cricket centre for children aged between 5-8 to take their first steps in the game.

All junior teams have dedicated, qualified coaches who are CRB checked and who provide a structured and safe environment for children coming to learn the game at Crimble.

We have also received Clubmarkstatus, which emphasises our commitment to excellence and the safe, progressive environment we have created at Crimble.

Our facilities are so highly-rated that we regularly host Lancashire age group games.

These facilities are available to hire at a good rate, enabling you to enjoy functions in a family-friendly environment with on-site catering facilities and fine beer, available within our friendly, welcoming club house.
